Campbell Busted Mugshots
Campbell is a small Wilkin County city. The 2020 Census counted 164 people. It has no verified Campbell Police Department page, no city arrest log, and no booking-photo feed of its own. That makes the Wilkin County Sheriff's Office the practical starting point. Keep in mind this is a routing fact, not proof of a contract with Campbell. The Sheriff names six contracted towns and leaves some unidentified. Note that gap before you send a city-specific request.
If a Campbell-area person sits in the Wilkin County Jail, the official Custody / LETG Jail roster is the public path to current custody. It offers image links and structured booking fields. But it's countywide, with no Campbell filter. It may also include boarders or people in other custody situations. A row tells you what's displayed, nothing more. It doesn't prove the person was arrested in Campbell.
Note: The absence of a Campbell municipal log is a source limitation, not evidence that no Campbell-area arrest occurred.
Campbell Busted Sources
Official sources anchor any Campbell lookup. Wilkin County's custody page is the photo-bearing current roster, and the Sheriff and jail handle the records route. What you won't find is an official same-day booking feed, weekly arrest log, historical roster archive, or photo-based county social feed. None of those exist here. The Sheriff links to CrimeReports, but that incident map can't confirm a jail intake, a custody status, or a booking photograph. Wilkin Alerts, meanwhile, sends emergency messages. It isn't a booking-notification channel.
| Channel | What it covers | Status | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wilkin Custody roster | People currently displayed in jail custody, with an image link and booking fields | Official | Countywide, not a Campbell log or archive |
| Wilkin Sheriff | Law-enforcement contact and records routing | Official | No dedicated county booking-photo form located |
| Wilkin County Jail | Facility and booking/admission custodian route | Official | Current custody is different from a historical list |
| MCRO case search | Public filings and case outcomes | Official | Not a booking-photo roster |
| Regional Campbell reports | Reported events and agency statements | Secondary | Not comprehensive or a live custody source |
Third-party county mirrors sometimes carry a Wilkin entry. None offers a verified Campbell-specific feed. RecentlyBooked and JailRosters aren't official archives. Their listings can be incomplete or stale. Other commercial mugshot networks had no Wilkin-local section at all. A missing name means little. City labels, release timing, and agency boundaries all vary. Absence from a secondary site says almost nothing about a Campbell event.
Busted in Campbell
Start with the facts that identify the event. Gather the person's name, an approximate date, and the incident location. Include the arresting agency if you know it. For someone currently held in the Wilkin jail system, the roster comes first. Its fields include an image link, MNI, name, age, booking number, intake date, charges, and bail or bond. The displayed refresh time shows when the source last updated. It is not a fixed schedule. A name that's absent could mean release, transfer to another facility, a different arresting agency, or simply a record outside the current roster window.
- Review the official Custody roster for a current row and record any displayed booking number, intake date, and custody posture.
- Compare the roster details with the Campbell-area incident location. Do not label a countywide entry as a Campbell arrest without a source for that location.
- Send a focused written request to the Sheriff/Jail for an older or released booking record, naming the person, date, incident location, agency, and known booking number or MNI.
- If the custodian identifies another agency, request the incident record there. Use MCRO for later public case filings and disposition information.
For the bigger picture, the county-wide Wilkin County custody and booking record page separates a current roster from an older booking request, a state DOC profile, and federal or immigration custody. Those systems are distinct. A state prison or supervision result is not a current Campbell or Wilkin County booking. Federal or ICE custody is its own category again. Don't merge them.
Campbell Sheriff Records
With no Campbell municipal request form available, the Sheriff and jail are the right official route for a county-held booking record. Both sit at the Law Enforcement Center, 515 Dacotah Ave., Breckenridge. Call the jail for jail-specific questions. Use the Sheriff contact for records routing. And don't make an agency guess at the event. Supplying the incident location and date lets staff figure out quickly whether they hold the report or another department does.

When you write, ask for the public booking photograph. Also request the public parts of the booking or admission record. That covers intake date and time, booking number, listed charges, and bail or bond fields. It also covers custody status and release date or time, if maintained and public. Request that the custodian segregate nonpublic data and cite the legal basis for anything withheld. Booking systems may hold sensitive medical, biometric, juvenile, victim, sealed, or identifying details. Those shouldn't be sought or repeated just because they might exist.
Minnesota Statute 13.03 sets the public-data access framework. Inspection is free at reasonable times and places. Copies may carry fees under statutory rules. The Sheriff's page lists a bulk-copy fee of $100 setup per request per document. Electronic or paper copies add 25 cents per page. No special fee is stated for a single booking image. So ask for a quote before any large search or copying work begins.
Campbell Busted Coverage Gaps
Campbell is tiny. Its public paper trail is tiny with it. The city has no police page, no blotter, and no local photo feed. Regional news outlets do cover Campbell-area events, though. So a blank result on the county roster can mean several things. It could signal a release, a timing lag, a jurisdiction split, or simply no current jail row. It does not mean nothing happened. For that reason, the official records route beats trying to stretch a headline or a third-party database into a citywide index.
One more wrinkle exists. The Wilkin jail also holds contracted inmates from Ransom County, Richland County, and the U.S. Marshals Service. Roster labels such as BOARDER, Under Sentence, and COURT/PENDING reflect those arrangements. A person can sit in the Breckenridge facility without being a newly arrested Campbell resident. Physical custody and the true origin of a case are separate facts. Each needs its own confirmation.
Note: A roster entry is a current custody clue, while the incident agency and court record establish different parts of the story.
Campbell Busted News
Regional news fills part of the gap. It is not a public arrest list, though. Valley News Live's Campbell report covers a Wilkin County Sheriff search and the arrests that came after. KVRR's related Campbell report gives another event-driven example. Each story names the reporting agency and the setting. Neither one substitutes for an official roster or booking record.
The image below captures the cited Valley News Live Campbell report. Remember, it is a news outlet. It is not a record custodian.
A news story can add event context and agency language. That is its limit. Official custody and records sources remain the way to verify a booking or later case status.
Not every image in local reporting is a booking photo. Some are scene shots or police images. Others are agency video, credited jail images, or contributed news photos. Keep the caption and the source intact. Do not apply a label the article never supports. The Wilkin County Crime News page keeps regional reporting separate from official record channels. For a Campbell request, start with the Sheriff/Jail and the actual agency of record.
Campbell Court Status
Minnesota Court Records Online is the official public case search. It covers name, case number, citation, attorney, county, category, and date fields. Timing matters here. A court file may lag. It can appear only after a person has left the current-custody roster, and an intake can precede any filed or searchable case. Wilkin County Court Administration handles access questions about case files and certified copies. Call 218-517-6020.
Minnesota Statute 13.82 treats adult booking photographs as public in most cases. A temporary active-investigation hold can apply sometimes. The dated Wilkin County Warrant List tracks a status separate from current custody. These lookup paths are informational only. They are not for FCRA-regulated purposes.
Older Campbell-area material may need more than a roster check. The Minnesota county law-enforcement retention schedule covers complaint logs, inmate reports, inmate history, and local identification files. It sets no Wilkin-specific online retention date for each booking photograph. A record may still sit with the Sheriff, the jail, or an arresting agency. It may also be sealed, restricted, transferred, or lawfully destroyed. Ask the custodian about the category and its records inventory. Do not assume a past booking will be online.
State and federal systems answer different questions. The Minnesota DOC search page covers state custody or supervision, not a local pretrial booking. The BOP and ICE locators handle distinct federal and immigration custody. Wilkin Jail can hold U.S. Marshals Service contract inmates. That contract-bed arrangement changes nothing. It does not turn a federal record into a standard Campbell booking record or make federal prisoner photographs a local public resource.
